Pride in Dallas Parade
Come join Oak Lawn Band and visitors from Pride of San Antonio and Houston Pride Band at the Pride in Dallas Parade on Cedar Springs Road from Wycliffe to Oak Lawn. The Oak Lawn Band will be be leading the parade so get there early to see the fun.
Sapphire Celebration - 45 Years of Pride
Join us for Sapphire Celebration: 45 Years of Pride - Oak Lawn Band’s landmark 45th anniversary concert. This performance will showcase a powerful blend of music, memory, and meaning rooted in the development of Dallas’s queer community over the last four decades.
Held at the Moody Performance Hall at 4pm on Saturday, October 11, 2025, this event marks 45 years of queer visibility, community connection, and artistic expression in Dallas. Far more than a traditional concert, Sapphire Celebration is a curated musical journey through OLB’s deep ties to local history, the fight for LGBTQ+ rights, and the power of imagination that drives community arts.
Featuring a carefully selected program of classical fanfares, Broadway showstoppers, and contemporary works, the concert highlights major moments in queer history, from Dallas’s iconic Pegasus to the 10th anniversary of marriage equality, using music and multimedia to reflect on where we’ve been and imagine where we’re headed.
With projections of historic OLB logos, photos submitted by current members, and emotional visual montages, the experience is designed by and for the community it serves. The concert is a showcase not only of musical excellence, but also of resilience, remembrance, joy, and the shared pride of generations who have made this band a lasting symbol of LGBTQ+ strength and artistry in the greater Dallas/Fort-Worth metroplex.

Pegasus City Brass Animation Showcase
The Oak Lawn Band is proud to present its very first concert featuring the Pegasus City Brass alongside some of our talented chamber music friends! Join us at 4 PM on November 1st in Kurth Hall at the Sammons Center for the Arts for this free community concert. This performance marks an exciting new chapter for the Oak Lawn Band, showcasing the versatility of our musicians and expanding the ways we share music with the community. By attending, you’re not only experiencing an afternoon of outstanding music, but also supporting the Oak Lawn Band’s mission to create visibility, belonging, and celebration for the LGBTQIA+ community through the power of live performance.

D-Day Anniversary Memorial
Commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day on Thursday, June 6 with the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum.
In honor of the D-Day landings along the Normandy coast during World War II, often referred to as the beginning of the end of the war, the Museum will feature free admission for all visitors to the Museum, film screenings, music performances, and special late hours - open until 8 p.m. Performances by the Oak Lawn Band begin at 5:30 pm.

Pride weekend kicks off with the Dallas Pride Music Festival on Saturday, followed by Dallas Pride’s Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade on Sunday. Bring the whole family to these all-ages events, which make for a weekend of fun honoring the LGBTQ+ community, its allies, sponsors and supporters.
